Petri Eriksson grew up amid repeated experiences of abandonment and instability. Placed in an orphanage as a newborn, he spent time with relatives before returning to his mother. His family faced poverty, frequent moves, domestic violence, and his mother’s struggle with alcohol, leaving lasting emotional scars that shaped his adolescence and adulthood.
Turning Point
Military service provided Petri with structure, discipline, and leadership experience, boosting his confidence. Coaching Career
Petri began his coaching career when his son took up boxing, volunteering at nearby boxing club BK Örnen. Combining his entrepreneurial background, leadership skills, and a deep commitment to supporting youth in difficult situations, he founded Team Perkele. He has taken particular responsibility for women’s competitive coaching. Under his guidance, athletes have won national and European medals, and he has overseen training plans for several elite boxers.
